The respected MICHELIN Guide has recognized our local favorite, Hotel Clermont, as a KEY hotel and one if it’s most affordable destinations for a Winter escape in the U.S.
Being designated as a KEY hotel by MICHELIN puts hotels in a status of their own, being dubbed the “most exciting hotels in the world” often housing a restaurant of notable cuisine and standing. In this case, we have Tiny Lou’s that has received plenty of acclaim and stellar reviews from Conde Nasté Traveler to Bon Appetit.
Hotel Clermont’s rooftop bar is one of Atlanta’s finest, and we can’t mention this local favorite without mentioning is equally (if not more) popular basement bestie, the Clermont Lounge. IYKYK, and if you don’t, look it up.
Rooms here will cost $450/night and it’s well worth the trip to Atlanta or as a staycation for a local Atlien.
OK ya’ll, I’ve been so excited to feature Restaurant DANIEL for a while now. Our dining experience here has stayed in my mind since our visit and I would die to go back. Aside from being MICHELIN-starred (2*) and providing an amazing French culinary experience, this Upper East Side restaurant is gorgeous, grand and honestly so FUN. Not a typical word I would use to describe a lot of restaurants of this caliber, but I’ll explain why.
After making my way through the main entrance, we met the hostess who directed us to the front bar for drinks as we waited for our table. It’s a quaint area, richly decorated with, ofcourse, great cocktails. Dirty Martini for me, please.
After pre-dinner cocktails, we were seated in the grand dining room, and when I say grand, it is truly that (3,000 sq ft). Our table was located at the top of the room, where we could people-watch and really take in the full experience (and that we did!).
After enjoying several (large!) glasses of red wine and our 7-course meal, I can safely say this is an experience I will never forget. In total, we were there for about 3 hours and were sad to leave. All of the staff, including the waiters, were beyond accommodating and friendly; they brought us out so many extra items to try that were not including in the course.
Restaurant DANIEL has remained a staple in the NYC dining scene since 1993. Owner and Chef, Daniel Boulud, is considered one of the most revered chefs in New York. He works alongside Executive Chef, Eddy Leroux. You can take a look at the current course offering here. Visit the restaurant’s instagram for a peek into their culinary creations and updates on their rotating fine art program.
A truly elevated experience from arrival through dessert. Bon Appétit!
