Escape the Crowds: New England’s Charming Summer’s End

When most travelers picture New England, they think of crisp October air, blazing red maple leaves, and apple cider donuts on winding country roads. But for those in the know, the true magic happens before the foliage crowds roll in.

Yebo Beach Haus: South African Flavors and Coast-Cool Vibe in Atlanta

Atlanta, Georgia, USA

A longtime favorite of the Buckhead crowd, Yebo Beach Haus boasts an impressive menu influenced by South African flavors, including delicious cocktails and wine. Yebo stays busy and it’s coast-cool vibe keeps patrons returning. You’ll find the new location in the The Courtyard West Village located in Andrews Square with convenient parking and easy ride share access. During the colder seasons, Yebo transforms into the Ski Haus – fun!

PRAY FOR SURF

If there’s one tip I can provide for a visit to Yebo, it’s to have the Dirty Martini. I love a Dirty Mar and let me say, this is one of the best I’ve had – trust me! What makes it so good?

beluga vodka, dry vermouth, olive brine, blue cheese olives **shaken

You can’t go wrong with this menu – my sister and I started with the Spicy Tuna Roll and both had the Pan Seared Scallop entrée – both were delish. Dinner and martini’s were followed by a glass of South African Cabernet (IMO, you can’t go wrong with any S.A. vino!).

BABYLONSTOREN cabernet sauvignon, stellenbosch, south africa 2019

If you’re looking for a consistently great spot for date night, after-work drinks or a group celebration – Yebo is a great option.

The Chastain: Buckhead’s Charming Dining Destination

Atlanta, Georgia, USA

Fairly new to the Atlanta food scene is The Chastain, and if you’re looking for a date night spot or a cute patio to sip your wine, this is a great option.

turkey wing appetizer
seared yellowfin tuna

Fairly new to the Atlanta (Buckhead specifically) food scene is The Chastain, and if you’re looking for a date night spot or a cute patio to sip your wine, this is a great option. The restaurant is housed in a beautiful modern-rustic style building with ample outdoor space and a covered tent for cooler or rainy weather.

The Executive Chef, Christopher Grossman, has a impressive resume including previous Executive Chef of another acclaimed Atlanta restaurant, Atlas.

The menu consists of simple, and delicious, courses inspired by the best local ingredients and seasonal harvest, and a very nice wine selection. Everything we had was great (photos at left)! Items not to miss include the giant turkey wing appetizer and the chocolate chip cookie dessert.
